ariseartist attended Christian schools from grade one up to four years of college; majoring in English and taking many religion courses—whatever piqued the interest. At the age of sixteen ariseartist won first place in the student poetry category of a Christian magazine poetry contest. It was then that ariseartist realized ariseartist would be a poet for the Lord.
